Zaatar (Origanum syriacum), also known as Bible Hyssop, is an annual herb native to Palestine, combining the flavors of oregano, thyme, and sweet marjoram. It is the primary ingredient in the traditional za’atar herb blend. Palestinians have been restricted from harvesting this culturally significant herb on their lands, so we are growing it in solidarity.
All proceeds from our zaatar seedlings will be donated to “Revive Gaza Farmland,” an initiative by the Arab Group for the Protection of Nature. Learn more at https://apnature.org/en/gaza.
